Kicking off 2020 as the first show of the season, Harrogate Fashion Week has been pronounced a success for both exhibitors and visitors…
Having taken place at the end of January, Harrogate Fashion Week was the first show of the season, and a very successful one at that! The show was 65% bigger than when it began in 2018, proving a great event for both exhibiting brands and visitors alike.
Director Sarah Moody reported: “This was our biggest show to date bringing together some great brands, many of which chose HFW rather than their usual venues of Moda and Pure. We are hugely encouraged that the majority have rebooked for our next show in July, which we hope will be bigger and better again.”
In its biggest edition to date, Harrogate Fashion Week hosted over 100 brands and visitor numbers continue to grow. Many exhibitors gained new accounts and renewed relationships with previous stockists.
Here’s what some of the exhibitors and visitors had to say:
“The show has been brilliant for us; we will be back in July. We loved the friendly atmosphere from the security team when we arrived, the free tea & coffee for us on set up and the complimentary steamers to use. All these added touches make our lives easier.” (First time exhibitor Nick Williams from Marble)
“It was a great show, we loved being in Harrogate and are really pleased with our results. We picked up both new customers and some boutiques that we had lost some time ago.” Director Wendy Adams commented “Our visitors numbers saw a big increase with some great independents attending all of whom gave us lovely feedback about the show.” (Ian Campbell Smith from Rino & Pelle)
“Absolutely loved the show, lovely stand sizes, easy to navigate. Heating is comfortable. A relaxed environment that allows me to spend more time buying. Great hotels all within walking distance.” (Marian Mckenna from La Creme Boutique, Ireland)
The next show is set to take place from 26th to 27th July at the Harrogate Convention Centre. Find out more at harrogatefashionweek.com.
