Menswear specialists, Wilvorst, have begun producing face masks amidst the Coronavirus pandemic…
As of Wednesday 25th March 2020, German menswear specialists Wilvorst, have turned their attentions to the production of face masks. The move comes in reaction to the current Coronavirus pandemic, with the label wanting to use their sewing capacity to produce much-needed protective clothing.
With retail having been closed down for the time being, demand has changed and Wilvorst aim to produce at least 50,000 masks per week. These masks, which are washable and reusable, are primarly intended for private use, as opposed to intensive care use. This enables companies, authorities and care facilities to protect their staff, too
Wilvorst management said: “Thanks to the production in Northeim we are particularly flexible and are able to react to new demands as required. Furthermore, we currently work on an extension of our product range. Protective gowns are under development and are supposed to be produced soon”
